These Little Wonders

By Andy Denton on Monday, February 12, 2007 - 1:13 pm

I heard a great song driving to work the other day. It’s the new song by Rob Thomas, and it speaks to capturing life. It talks about getting up after you’ve been knocked down. Dusting yourself off, and reflecting on your past joys and trials.

let it slide,
let your troubles fall behind you
let it shine
until you feel it all around you
and i don’t mind
if it’s me you need to turn to
we’ll get by,
it’s the heart that really matters in the end

Here’s a link to the song.

As I’ve said before, you gotta thank God for the highs in your life and thank him for carrying you through the lows. It’s great to reflect on those feelings which make up your past, but you can’t let those memories hold you down, impede your growth, and keep you stuck in a rut.

Life is in the journey, loving each moment and memory that you make, but finding a way to tell yourself that tomorrow you are going to do it better than you did before.

And this video (excuse some of the language) is for a friend of mine who needs to be reminded that he’s money!

You’ve gotta let go of your past. And… when you do, I’m tellin ya, the future is beautiful!

    He was correct. Once you let go of the past….the future gets to take over. Nice pick AD.
